Eshop System Specification


1. Basic specification

The eshop system consists basically of two parts:

  • on-line administration interface for e-shop management
  • presentation inforface to present products to e-shop page visitors

Administration interface consist of modules for managemnt of individual e-shop parts. The modules are following:

  • e-shop structure namangement (products, templates a categories)
  • marketing actions management
  • customer management
  • news management
  • order management
  • statistics

Presentation interface displays product information to visitors of e-sho pages. It includes tools for easy product browsing, clear information providing, order system, customer registration system, search and comparing products.

2. Detail specification of system modules

2.1 Categories

  • unlimited amount of categories and subcategories
  • every category can be a subcategory in more categories, e. g. /sport utilities/tourism/tourist shoes, /shoes/tourist shoes
  • by entering a certain category (subcategory) a customer will be able to see a list of products from that certain category and all it’s subcategories
  • highlighted representing of products which are in actions, along with most sold, newest, and recommended products from a certain category
  • automatic paging with a possibility of setting the number of showed products on one page and fast or slow shifting between pages
  • product sorting based to various characteristics (price, name, ...)
  • adding a description to any category
  • product comparing within a category

2.2 Templates

  • easier way to create descriptions and items with the similar characteristics structure, e. g. television, video, …
  • unlimited amount of templates
  • presetting of product standard characteristics, e.g. product code, guarantee, tax group, etc.
  • automatic unique product code generating
  • parameter type specification (number, text, yes/no type characteristics, …) – thanks to this characteristics it’s easier to search and sort products
  • automatic product name and brief description generating
  • easy template-to-template characteristics transfer

2.3 Products

  • unlimited amount of products
  • inserting product into more categories
  • mutual product comparing
  • adding unlimited amount of pictures to every product
  • automatic picture rescaling – only one size picture needed to be uploaded
  • adding unlimited amount of documents, e. g. manuals in PDF format, sound files, etc.
  • entering unlimited amount of external links, e. g. manufacturer’s website, technical support, list of service departments, …
  • specifying related products, e. g. accessories, spare parts, add-ons, …
  • specifying alternative products (comparable products from other manufacturers)
  • product evaluation and comments from the customers including a possibility of administrative changes
  • specifying recommended and your end price for the purpose of comparison
  • internal specification of purchase price, amount of goods on the stock, …
  • specifying weight with the possibility of automatic specification of shipping expenses

2.4 Price lists

2.5 Search

  • choosing the type of payment, e. g. cash on delivery, cash, GSM banking, E-bank, bank transfer and more according to the customer’s demands
  • automatic data check entered by a customer

  • monitoring of order’s parameters, e. g. information about the payment, about possible problems, customer’s confirmation, etc.
